Car Conundrum

It all started last week Thursday. The engine light illuminated the dash as I headed to work that morning. Fantastic! I just had the car in for an oil change less than two weeks ago.

I called the service department and reported the situation. I dropped the car off for a Friday morning appointment. A diagnosis was made, and the part was ordered. I could take my car home for the weekend, but would need to bring it back on Monday for the repair.

Monday morning I dropped my car off at 7:30 a.m. The morning flew by and soon the afternoon too. I still had not heard about my car, so I called. Nope the car would not be done today. The part did not fix the problem. They would need another day to diagnose.

*Sigh* really? Ok, I could live without a car for another day. Tuesday came and went, and I called them again. Nope the car would not be ready on Tuesday either. They figured out the problem, and had to order more parts. So, the car would be done on Wednesday.

Wednesday is here. I had not heard from the service shop, so I thought I would call, around 2:30. Nope, the car is not done -- but it will be done by 5:00 today. Yeah! So, I am excited to go pay that $450 bill to reclaim my wheels.

In the meanwhile, I must give a shout out to my co-workers who have been very gracious chauffers. I think I will be buying them an ice cream or a pop as a thank you!
